Cultivating Community Through Urban Reforestation

On Saturday, April 13th in conjunction with Milton-Montford community residents, the Baltimore Tree Trust and 15 volunteers from Under Armour’s Teammate Resource Sustainability Group, the Green Machine helped plant 14 trees in Little Eager Park. The Green Machine promotes sustainability through innovation, education, and action at and beyond Under Armour’s walls.

Residents came out to celebrate the planting of the trees and break bread with volunteers and representatives from the Tree Trust. Six additional trees will be planted in the greenspace on Bradford St. in the coming weeks. Special thanks to residents Chrissy Prosperi and Jiri Cruz for stewarding the many green spaces in Milton-Montford and helping connect with greening initiatives on behalf of East Baltimore.
